Application: Application for registering the Trademark should be submitted in the format prescribed by the Department of Industries. The copy of prescribed format will be sent on request. The application should be signed by the authorized representative of the company (applicant), it should be witnessed by at least two witnesses, should bear the corporate seal (rubber stamp will do) of the applicant company. The application should be printed in the company's (applicant) letterhead for each Trademark for each class to be registered.
Power of Attorney:
There is no particular format of the Power of Attorney. Apex Law can provide the format normally used in Nepal .

Representation Sheets:
Four copies (sets) of the trademark to be registered with Department of Industries in Nepal should be submitted along with the application.

Foreign Registration Certificate:
Foreign Registration Certificate is a must to register any foreign trademark in Nepal . A notarized photocopy of the home registration certificate is compulsory. Notarized photocopy of the home registration certificate for each class for each trademark is essential. If the certificate has been issued in language other than English (for example in Chinese or French language) it should be accompanied by English translation certified by Notary Public.

The Time Required for Registration:
Registration process may take at least 10 to 90 days to issue the registration certificate after the application is submitted to the Department of Industries.
